MTAC Infinity will once again feature the famed MTAC AMV Contest. We are excited to currently be acception submissions. Submitting your AMV is quick and easy. An FTP server has been provided to allow all competitors to easily deliver their file for review by our judges. The following login information will provide you immediate access to the FTP server:
Address: ftp://amv.mtac.net
Once you have logged into the FTP, please create folder with your name as the folder name. Inside you will need to upload your AMV video file (conforming to the rules provided below) as well as a text document containing your name, email address, and any relevant information pertaining to your entry. All entries must be at least 30 seconds in length but no longer than 6 minutes in order to be eligible. You may submit something longer than 6 minutes, but it will only be screened if there is enough time and will not be part of the contest.
The following are the available competition categories:
Best Comedy * Best Romance * Best Technical Best of Show Audience Favorite * We will accept up to 2 entries per contestant in the categories of Comedy and Romance. All entries must include the provided video slate BEFORE the video starts. The slate is available for download here. This slate must run for 10 seconds, followed by 5 seconds of black before the AMV starts, making sure to account for any fade ins or audio that starts before the video. You may have your own custom bumpers or intros before the actual AMV starts, but should be in addition to the MTAC supplied slate (this slate will not be shown publicly and is only used for queuing the video properly). After the video, there should be either 10 seconds of black or 10 seconds of a still frame that will be used to transition to other content. No traditional slow rolling credits will be accepted. If you want your credits to be shown, be creative about it. No adult content will be accepted and all entries will be screened for any objectionable material prior to judging. If we find adult or objectionable content, you can participate in the Adult AMV contest if you so choose. All entries will need to be submitted in Quicktime format (.mov) using the h.264 codec and a standard definition resolution (i.e. 720x480). High definition entries will not be accepted. If you have a separate option for audio, this should be no less than MP3 quality @ 192kHz stereo. If you have any questions about this or don't know how to do it, please contact tech@mtac.net or send a message to ZenMaster on the forums by March 31st and we will work with you as best we can. All entries must be submitted by April 4th for screening. This will allow time for the videos to be put through a test run to check for errors. We reserve the right to disqualify any videos based on quality of audio, video, or any other reason. If we feel that these issues can be fixed in time for the contest, we will notify you as soon as possible. | |||||||
