Costuming & Dress Code
MTAC wishes to promote a safe atmosphere for everyone in attendance to express themselves. However, we have to recognize that some attire choices may result in a bad experience or personal injury. In order to safeguard against this, MTAC has instituted the following attire guidelines for the convention. Failure to meet these guidelines may result in a request to change clothes or be ejected from the convention with no refund.
MTAC’s minimal dress standards are full-coverage bikini top and full-coverage bottoms (shorts/bottoms covering full cheeks) on any gender. Shoes are required at all times, with no exceptions for cosplay in public areas.
Any costume or attire that others may reasonably/objectively assume to be hostile or insensitive towards race, gender, culture, and sexuality is not permitted at MTAC. Examples include but aren’t limited to offensive real-world group paraphernalia, even when appropriated for ironic or satirical purposes. Such offensive material may be judged at MTAC’s discretion.
Any costume or attire that others may reasonably/objectively assume to be hostile or insensitive towards race, gender, culture, and sexuality is not permitted at MTAC.
Costumes or attire worn on the convention floor must not obstruct or impede the flow of traffic or entryways. If the costume cannot fit through a standard doorway, it may not be allowed during general convention hours. Exceptions may be made for Cosplay Contest event participants traveling to and from Cosplay Contest pre-judging and the Cosplay Contest event. Such exceptions must be made with the supervision of the Cosplay Contest staff.
Membership & Badges
Badges are required for all convention functions and must be forward facing, on the front of your body, and above the waist. Keep your badge secure and visible on your person at all times. If you lose your badge, you must purchase another at full cost.
Venue
Please do not damage venue or hotel property. Any damages or theft in a hotel room will be charged to the registered guest. If you are found sleeping in the public areas, you will be asked to go to your hotel room or leave the event space. MTAC’s venue is our partner in putting on our convention. It’s our home for the weekend. Please help us take care of our home so we can continue to produce a fun and affordable event.
Personal Property
Attendees of MTAC attend at their own risk. MTAC is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property, or for injuries sustained during the course of the event. There will be some spaces or events where you cannot take large bags, weapons, or props, such as the Dealers Room or Dances. You will need to seek a safe place to store these items while you are in there.
Children
MTAC strives to be a family friendly event, but MTAC also hosts thousands of people at our convention. To help protect children, everyone under the age of 16 must have a parental or guardian escort at all times. Children should carry some form of identification and parent/guardian contact information at all times.

We also encourage fan and outside professional photography and videos, unless the subject does not wish to be photographed. Do not photograph someone without their permission. Do not set up any lighting structures or backdrops that are not immediately portable. Photographers may be asked to move due to traffic at any time. Blocking doorways or heavy traffic areas is prohibited. Please refrain from taking photos or videos in events or rooms that do not allow photography, which will be indicated at those locations.
We reserve the right to remove your membership badge, eject you from the convention, and refuse to refund your membership money.
